As Principal Product Manager for Worker Safety, you will own a critical zero-to-one initiative, taking an early-access product and defining its long-term market position and scalability. You are the single-threaded owner responsible for strategy and market fit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct intensive onsite customer discovery and research to understand business needs and determine product strategy
- Translate complex customer feedback into clear value propositions, quantifying financial ROI and the business opportunity
- Bridge firmware engineering and software execution to define and deliver the Version 2 product roadmap
- Evaluate the broader market landscape to determine Samsara's competitive "right to win" in worker safety
- Leverage AI tools and creative visualizations to build demos and iterate on product concepts at high velocity
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision and roadmap balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design on full-stack solutions, making tradeoffs and accelerating delivery
- Partner with go-to-market teams (sales, customer success, marketing) to win strategic deals and scale adoption
- Establish success metrics, track performance, and iterate quickly to ensure measurable customer and revenue impact

Minimum qualifications: 8+ years of product management experience in high-growth, scrappy environments; proven ability to build products from zero-to-one with no existing playbook; exceptional first-principles thinking and ability to quantify market opportunities; strong communication and pitching skills; technical literacy and comfort working with firmware engineers and technical teams.
