Coursera, recently merged with Udemy to form one of the world's most comprehensive skills development platforms, is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of the content authoring and production tools ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will own the roadmap for Coursera's Authoring team, focusing on how educators, subject matter experts, and enterprise customers create and bring high-quality, career-aligned learning content to market at scale.
Your core mission is to empower authors to deliver exceptional content efficiently while advancing how Coursera leverages AI to ensure content quality and relevance. You will develop comprehensive product requirements based on deep customer understanding, collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, Content, Product Marketing, and Support teams to deliver seamless content production and ingestion experiences.
Key responsibilities include owning the strategy and roadmap for the Authoring team, developing and delivering product requirements that improve and innovate the user experience, monitoring and optimizing content production and ingestion metrics, and communicating progress, learnings, and tradeoffs to senior leadership to maintain alignment across the organization.
