Zocdoc is a leading digital health marketplace helping millions of patients find and book care. The company is expanding beyond its core marketplace to power access to care across provider websites, insurance directories, search engines, AI platforms, and more.
As Principal Product Designer for the Provider Platform, you will shape the future of how patients discover care and how providers deliver it. Operating with a holistic, ecosystem-level perspective, you will define and drive design direction across large, complex product areas, influencing not just solutions but product strategy and experience architecture. This role requires deep systems thinking across a multi-sided platform, ensuring cohesive, scalable, and aligned experiences across marketplace and provider surfaces.
You will help lead Zocdoc's transition toward AI-native product development, defining how design and engineering collaborate in an AI-driven environment and establishing new standards for moving ideas from concept to production using tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Defining and leading design direction across complex, multi-team product areas, identifying high-leverage opportunities
- Partnering with product, engineering, data, and leadership to shape strategy and drive alignment
- Designing end-to-end experiences across systems, ensuring scalability and consistency
- Establishing and evolving design systems, frameworks, and patterns
- Elevating quality through hands-on work, critique, and mentorship
- Driving efficient delivery of high-impact work and guiding tradeoffs
- Leading integration of AI-native workflows to accelerate concept-to-production cycles

Qualifications:
- Proven track record leading and delivering high-impact product work across complex, multi-team problem spaces with strong product judgment
- Exceptional craft, creativity, and taste; consistently raising the bar on product quality and brand
- Deep systems thinking with experience designing across journeys and building scalable frameworks for multi-sided ecosystems
- Ability to operate as trusted partner to product, engineering, and leadership, driving alignment in ambiguous environments
- Strong balance of speed and quality with track record of shipping at scale
- Experience working closely with engineering and leveraging AI-native tools and workflows
- History of raising the bar through mentorship, critique, and design leadership
