The Principal Medtech Architect is a senior individual contributor role on the Forward Deployed team, owning strategic AI engagements with the company's largest customers across the full lifecycle: pre-sales discovery, executive workshops, solution delivery, outcome validation, and handoff to account teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end strategic AI build partnerships, from discovery through validation and transition
- Conducting foundational conversations positioning AcuityMD as the customer's AI platform for medtech
- Designing and facilitating executive leadership workshops to surface high-value workflows and prioritized use-case portfolios
- Recommending appropriate engagement models (enrichment, callable tools, bespoke skills, insight-to-action workflows)
- Defining business cases, ROI assumptions, success metrics, and validation approaches with customer stakeholders
- Translating customer pain points and technical requirements into well-scoped AI solutions and delivery plans
- Partnering with Product and Engineering to scope and lead Forward Deployed sprints
- Validating delivered solutions achieve intended outcomes before scaling across the customer organization
- Leading platform-level roadmap conversations with customer AI leadership (CTOs, CIOs)
- Collaborating with Customer Success, Professional Services, Sales, and Value Engineering
- Shaping AcuityMD's external narrative on AI in medtech through thought leadership
- Mentoring early-career Medtech Architects and strengthening team playbooks
Required qualifications:
- Executive presence and peer-level credibility with C-suite stakeholders (CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, CCOs)
- Deep medtech domain credibility and understanding of commercial, clinical, and operational realities
- AI and architecture fluency; ability to discuss capabilities, patterns, risks, and tradeoffs
- Demonstrated success scoping, selling, and delivering complex multi-quarter, multi-workstream engagements
- Strong commercial and customer judgment to distinguish high-value use cases and recommend appropriate engagement scope
- Exceptional communication skills across technical and executive audiences
