Delinea is a cloud-native Identity Security Platform that secures human and machine identities through intelligent, centralized authorization. The company is scaling its event portfolio from 20 to 30 events in FY27, with program spend growing from $4.1M to $4.7M (excluding global major events).
This newly created Principal role joins a small, senior team of two event managers reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic & Major Events. This is a builder's role with significant white space and executive visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Conference (45% of role): End-to-end ownership of the flagship multi-day customer conference with a 9-12 month runway. Responsibilities include venue sourcing and contracting, attendee journey design, content and agenda development, production management, and direct management of executive stakeholders and speakers.
2. Core Event Strategy & Execution: Lead strategic planning and delivery for assigned major events. Set audience, objectives, budget, experience design, and success metrics. Build integrated plans with sales, demand generation, brand, and communications teams. Manage delivery against plans and use results to improve future investment.
3. Event Measurement & Attribution: Build the event scorecard and pipeline attribution model for the function. Own executive reporting cadence that demonstrates ROI on $7M annual event spend, event by event and tier by tier. This output drives downstream investment conversations.
4. Speaker's Bureau: Build and operate a speaker's bureau for executive and subject matter expert participation. Maintain speaker roster and CFP calendar, develop abstracts, and coordinate speaker preparation with communications.
Requirements:
- Eight or more years in B2B event marketing with progressive ownership of larger, more complex events
- Direct, end-to-end ownership of a multi-day owned conference (several hundred attendees or more) covering venue, content, production, and executive stakeholders—not a supporting role
- Proven ability to build event measurement and pipeline attribution models accepted and used by finance organizations; can describe the model, not just the dashboard
- Experience running a speakers bureau or CFP program, including sourcing, preparing, and coaching senior executive speakers
- Experience managing $5M or greater annual event program scale across owned events and third-party sponsorships
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders outside reporting line, particularly sales leadership and executive speakers
Preferred:
- Cybersecurity, identity security, or enterprise infrastructure software background
- Experience running an event series for an acquired brand alongside parent-company portfolio
- Working fluency in Salesforce campaigns, campaign member status, and lead flow
- Global event experience, particularly EMEA
