Altana is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to serve as the dedicated Finance Business Partner to the Technology organization, spanning R&D, Implementation, Product, IT, and InfoSec. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the VP of Finance, positioned at the intersection of finance and engineering.
Key responsibilities include owning monthly budget forecasts and variance reporting for the full Technology organization; serving as the primary financial advisor to Tech leaders on investment decisions, including headcount evaluation and ad hoc business requests; and managing cloud infrastructure financial planning end-to-end across all providers with resource tagging and commitment discount optimization.

You will build Board-level Technology scorecards tracking performance versus plan, including headcount, cloud and AI spend, R&D as a percentage of revenue, and key delivery indicators.
You'll track engineering org ratios and produce executive financial narratives connecting R&D investment to business outcomes for board presentations and investor materials.

Excellent communication and influencing skills to translate complex financial data into clear executive narratives. Active user of AI tools in day-to-day workflow. Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and HRIS/workforce planning tools. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA a plus.
