GenLogs is building a freight intelligence platform for the $1T+ ground freight industry, using roadside sensors, cameras, satellites, and commercial/open-source datasets to capture real-time observations of truck and trailer movement across the U.S. The company recently raised a $60M Series B and serves brokers, shippers, insurers, carriers, and agencies in sourcing capacity, underwriting, and combating cargo theft and freight fraud.
The Principal Data Solutions Architect bridges GenLogs' data capabilities and customer needs. You will spend significant time with high-value current and prospective customers, uncovering pain points, communicating what's possible with GenLogs' platform, and rapidly translating insights into proof-of-concept solutions and recommendations that unlock real value.
You must be equally comfortable dissecting a Snowflake schema and presenting compelling stories to underwriters and brokerage leaders. You'll operate as a trusted technical expert in the sales and customer journey, serving as connective tissue between customer reality and internal data science, engineering, and product teams—ensuring what the company builds matches market demand.
Key responsibilities include: clearly articulating GenLogs' core capabilities so customers extract optimal value; compiling and sharing relevant, concrete examples and demonstrations tailored to each customer's context (brokerage, insurance, carrier, government); using storytelling to simplify complex data capabilities and connect them to business impact; building proof-of-concept solutions that demonstrate value; and becoming deeply familiar with the data environment, core capabilities, and constraints to innovate with confidence and credibility.
This role requires strong initiative, technical depth in data architecture and analytics, and the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders. You'll need to rapidly master GenLogs' data environment and communicate its potential to drive customer adoption and inform product development.
