Datadog is seeking a Principal CRO and Web Analyst to drive insights, measurement, and experimentation that shape the company's website roadmap and improve user discovery, learning, and conversion. This role combines analytical depth, storytelling, and hands-on execution across testing and optimization while building the experimentation culture and strategy for the broader team. Key responsibilities include owning website analytics and KPI frameworks to inform the roadmap; identifying performance gaps through data analysis, benchmarks, funnel analysis, and user behavior patterns; translating insights into clear recommendations and experimentation plans; defining and scaling Datadog's web experimentation program with testing strategy and best practices; and improving engagement and conversion through testing, optimization, segmentation, and personalization initiatives. You'll partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Web Engineering to align experimentation with business priorities and present findings to senior leadership. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of professional experience, including 6–8 years in conversion rate optimization, web analytics, experimentation, or related fields. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into clear narratives and decisions. Experience with user behavior data, funnel reporting, audience segmentation, and testing methodologies is essential. Proficiency with analytics and experimentation tools such as GA4, Metabase, Datadog Digital Experience tools, VWO, or similar platforms is required. You must be comfortable influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, guiding prioritization and investment decisions using data, with strong attention to detail and high standards for data accuracy and measurement integrity. Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace to ensure employees can create work-life harmony that fits them. The company values people from all walks of life and encourages applications from those passionate about technology who want to grow their skills.
