Intuit is seeking a Principal Business Development Manager to join its Accountant team, responsible for managing and growing strategic relationships with large accounting firms across North America. This individual contributor role focuses on the ongoing stewardship of existing partnerships—ensuring adoption, satisfaction, and mutual value realization—following the negotiation and launch of a partnership agreement.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven operator who excels at cross-functional coordination, program execution, and turning signed partnership agreements into durable, growing commercial outcomes. You will serve as the primary point of contact for partner firms, ensuring commitments are met, issues are resolved quickly, and new opportunities for expansion are identified within the relationship.
Key responsibilities include: serving as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned large accounting firm partners and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders; managing the ongoing health of partnership agreements and ensuring both parties meet contractual commitments, milestones, and success metrics; owning regular reporting and performance cadences (QBRs, retrospectives, dashboards) to track partnership performance; coordinating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Success to resolve partner issues and align on program execution; monitoring partner adoption and usage of Intuit products and identifying risks early; translating partnership agreements into actionable roadmaps with clear milestones and owners; identifying and pursuing incremental growth opportunities within existing partnerships; supporting renewal and renegotiation discussions; and maintaining working knowledge of partner business, priorities, and competitive landscape.
Required qualifications: 7+ years of relevant experience in partner management, account management, and business development working with enterprise or B2B partnerships; experience managing ongoing relationships with large, complex external partners (preferably in accounting, consulting, fintech, or SaaS); strong organizational and program management skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority; clear communication skills for engaging senior-level stakeholders; comfort with GSuite, Excel, and Smartsheet; and ability to work independently and resolve issues with limited guidance.
Preferred qualifications include direct experience with large accounting firms or SaaS companies, demonstrated success with modern SaaS go-to-market models, experience supporting contract renewals or expansions, and a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
