Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Pricing & Contracting Manager for Shockwave Medical, a leading innovator in cardiovascular medical technology. This role is based in Pomezia, Italy, and reports to the Commercial Operations leadership team.
Shockwave Medical develops Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease, establishing a new standard of care through proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for atherosclerotic plaque treatment.
You will lead a team of individual contributors and/or supervisors, managing pricing analytics, contract administration, and value-based pricing initiatives for J&J's cardiovascular portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
• Team Leadership: Conduct performance management, set team goals, manage workflows, and ensure compliance and achievement within budgets and timelines.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop and execute pricing strategies that drive profitability; assess and obtain sign-off on pricing proposals for go-to-market initiatives and key wins.
• Contract Management: Administer contracts with limited oversight, streamline processes for compliance and renewals, and create sustainable contract lifecycle management systems.
• Analytics & Insights: Assess key performance indicators, identify gaps, provide risk mitigation insights regarding contract terms, and support value-based pricing initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices, direct implementation of new contract policies, and support strategic initiatives to improve workflows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams to align on pricing and contracting strategies.
• Risk Management: Develop tactical and operational plans for financial and compliance risk assessments.
You will combine analytical expertise, process optimization, software proficiency, and strong stakeholder management skills. Travel up to 20% may be required for business meetings and customer engagements.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA preferred); 10+ years in pricing, finance, or commercial analytics within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare; proficiency in data analysis, pricing systems, ERP, CRM, and contract management software; advanced Excel skills; strong analytical abilities and attention to detail; effective cross-functional communication and influence. Fluent English required.
