You will serve as Regional Sales Manager for the Gulf Coast territory (Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas), building and leading a high-impact sales team to drive adoption of Unity Complete™—the first and only single-gene NIPT supported carrier and aneuploidy screen—among OBGYNs, maternal-fetal medicine specialists (MFMs), genetic counselors, and private practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven sales strategy and business plan to build market share across the Gulf Coast region
- Build, recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop a team of sales representatives
- Lead team execution of sales strategies to increase profitability and market share
- Develop customized clinical pitches tailored to individual OBGYNs, MFMs, and prenatal genetic counselors
- Analyze sales data, identify industry trends, monitor competition, and drive volume growth within territory
- Deliver clinical information to both external clients and internal teams
- Influence how the test is communicated to physicians and patients
This is a remote position reporting to the Area Director. You will have significant strategic influence over product positioning and market development in your region.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ years of direct field sales management experience leading a team of sales representatives at a molecular diagnostics or genetics company
- Specific background required: Women's Health, Prenatal Diagnostics, or Reproductive Health, selling directly to OBGYNs, MFMs, and genetic counselors in the Gulf Coast region
- Existing portfolio of convertible client relationships in the territory
- Must have prior experience in laboratory diagnostics
- Demonstrated successful sales track record (e.g., President's Club, Chairman's Club, Circle of Excellence or equivalent)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills; solid data analysis capabilities
- Understanding of buyer and decision-maker types; effective selling, listening, and presentation skills
- Strong focus on pull-through and follow-through
- Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills; ability to present effectively to internal and external customers
- Effective time management with demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize opportunities
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, strategically minded, and tactically executable
- Sense of urgency with focus on closing business
- Ability to assess needs of OBGYNs and MFMs and their office staff; consultative sales and problem-solving orientation
- Strong desire to work in a startup environment and build out a new territory and team
