Tigera is hiring a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect in Cork, Ireland to champion Lynx, the company's flagship AI agent and workload security solution. You will serve as the technical leader on the front lines of a rapidly emerging product category, partnering with Account Executives, Product Management, and Marketing to guide enterprise prospects from initial architecture discussions through proof-of-concept (PoC) execution to closed deals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical discovery, live demonstrations, solution architecture, and PoC executions for Lynx across top-tier enterprise prospects
- Partnering directly with prospects to understand how they build, deploy, and connect AI agents, then converting those runtime patterns into concrete security and governance policies
- Designing and maintaining state-of-the-art Lynx demo environments, PoC playbooks, and architecture blueprints to accelerate deal velocity
- Serving as the strategic feedback loop between field and product engineering, capturing customer requirements and influencing the evolution of Lynx
- Representing Tigera as a thought leader through technical webinars, workshops, conference participation, and published insights on AI agent security
- Leading technical RFP/RFI responses, security questionnaire validations, and internal enablement sessions
- Acting as trusted technical advisor for a dedicated set of Calico enterprise accounts, driving platform adoption and uncovering expansion opportunities into Lynx
- Traveling approximately 25% to connect in person with enterprise clients and attend industry events across Europe
Tigera is the pioneer behind Calico and Lynx, delivering deep visibility, runtime protection, and eBPF-driven enforcement control for securing AI agents, LLM frameworks, and microservices across enterprise infrastructure. The company's technology safeguards over 1 million Kubernetes clusters and is trusted by innovation leaders including NVIDIA, Royal Bank of Canada, Bloomberg, Chipotle, GoDaddy, and Upwork.
The role is hybrid based out of the Cork city office. This is ideal for a forward-thinking pre-sales professional or platform/security engineer eager to spearhead AI agent security while the category is being defined. You do not need to be an AI expert on day one—strong Kubernetes and application security foundations combined with passion for how AI systems are built will be developed into required expertise.
**Requirements:**
- 3 to 6 years in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant) OR hands-on experience in platform, DevOps, or cloud security engineering with a driven desire to transition to pre-sales
- Strong, hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized architectures; ability to stand up clusters, troubleshoot complex workloads, and explain core container runtime mechanics
- Deep understanding of modern application and cloud security principles, including Zero Trust models, network policies, identity-based security, and cloud access controls
- Practical understanding of identity-first security: JWT structure, signing, and validation; working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and mTLS mechanics
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Sales skills including active listening, MEDDPICC alignment, and ability to translate features into business value
- Exceptional communication ability to translate complex AI runtime mechanics and Zero Trust architectures into clear, compelling narratives for both hands-on engineers and C-level executives
- Startup mindset: curious, self-driven, and excited by the opportunity to own and establish leadership in an emerging category
**Nice to Have:**
- Hands-on exposure to building or securing AI/LLM applications or agents (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, Model Context Protocol/MCP servers)
- Familiarity with workload identity frameworks (SPIFFE/SPIRE) or API gateways/service meshes (Istio, Envoy)
- Prior experience with Calico, Cilium, OpenShift, or eBPF technology
- Familiarity with emerging AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF)
- Proficiency in a second European language
