Pico is a global financial services company headquartered in New York that provides market data services and managed infrastructure solutions to the capital markets community. The company operates offices across Chicago, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, serving clients across the full trading lifecycle.
We are seeking a Power BI Developer to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the data engineering function. You will translate departmental reporting needs into scalable Power BI dashboards and reusable semantic models, working with data sourced from Oracle, Salesforce, and other business systems integrated into the company data warehouse.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, define success measures, and validate outputs before release
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that communicate business performance and trends effectively
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting metrics
- Write complex SQL queries to support reporting, data validation, and integration across enterprise data sources
- Build and maintain reusable Power BI semantic models supporting consistent KPIs and scalable reporting across departments
- Ensure data modeling accuracy, performance, and scalability of BI solutions
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure best practices in BI development
- Perform dashboard performance tuning, DAX optimization, and data refresh strategy management
- Document technical solutions and contribute to reusable templates and standards
- Stay updated with latest BI technologies and trends to continuously improve reporting capabilities
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI, including data modeling
- Strong knowledge of business intelligence practices and data warehouse reporting
- High proficiency in SQL for querying, data transformation, and validation
- Solid data modeling skills including star schema design and relationship management
- Experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway, and ETL tools
- Knowledge of enterprise data sources such as Salesforce and Oracle
This is a hybrid position with weekly time in the office and flexibility to work from home. Travel may be required occasionally to support multiple geographies (EMEA, USA, APAC).
