onsemi is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to own factory performance for an assigned shift (Day 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 6:30am–7pm) at the East Fishkill 300mm Wafer Fab. This is a single-point-of-accountability role where you will drive safe, stable, and cost-effective manufacturing results through decisive leadership and rigorous operational discipline. You will own shift-level performance across equipment uptime, throughput, quality, cycle time, and cost. Key responsibilities include translating daily factory targets into clear execution plans, identifying deviations early, and taking decisive corrective action. You will make real-time decisions balancing output, product quality, equipment health, and operational risk, remaining accountable for issues through resolution and ensuring continuity across shifts and functions. Beyond supervision, you will lead on-shift problem definition, containment, and recovery for equipment, process, staffing, and material constraints. You will move beyond symptom response by leading root cause analysis and corrective actions, bringing forward problems with clear analysis, options, and recommendations when cross-functional support is required. You will hold engineering, maintenance, and support organizations accountable for meeting commitments that impact shift performance and ensure lessons learned are documented and translated into improved standard work and controls. You will lead technicians and operators with clear expectations for performance, behavior, and ownership, actively coaching individuals to solve problems at the lowest responsible level. You will ensure staffing, skill mix, certifications, and coverage align with factory needs, develop future leaders by deliberately building capability and delegating responsibility, and address performance gaps promptly and professionally. As the authoritative operational leader for the shift, you will lead disciplined shift handovers with clear communication of factory status, open risks, and ownership of unresolved issues. You will drive consistent use of metrics, standard work, and accountability mechanisms to improve factory performance, demonstrate strong cost awareness in daily decisions, and challenge recurring issues and inefficiencies to push for systemic fixes. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, or other high-reliability operational environments - Experience in semiconductor manufacturing - Demonstrated history of owning operational results, not just supervising activity - Proven ability to make sound decisions under time pressure and ambiguity - Strong track record of leading people through problems, change, and accountability PREFERRED: - Experience owning shift-based operations with advanced tools, tightly coupled processes, and high operational risk - Background in structured problem solving, performance management, and operational excellence systems - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Related)
