Aviso Wealth is seeking a Portfolio Manager for its Managed Assets Program (MAP) to join the Asset Management team in Toronto. Reporting to the Senior Manager of MAP Trading, you will oversee portfolio management of discretionary fee-based solutions, manage separately managed (SMA) and unified managed (UMA) accounts, and provide strategic oversight on trades and operational processes.
Key responsibilities span three areas: Portfolio Management & Client Service, Portfolio Accounting, and Client/Compliance Reporting. On the portfolio side, you'll co-manage internal investment mandates and models, act as a strategic bridge between portfolio management, technology, and advisor experience, and support financial advisors with client presentations and market updates. You'll collaborate with other portfolio managers on tactical investment strategies, review trading and mandates for improvement opportunities, and gather field insights to enhance the managed account platform.
For portfolio accounting, you'll manage SMA and UMA accounts on the Portfolio Management System (Wealth360), implement model portfolios from third-party managers, and mentor junior team members. You'll maintain expert knowledge of Aviso's custodial and PM systems and processes.
Compliance and reporting duties include managing quarterly client statement production, providing oversight and quality control for managed account compliance reporting and attribution analysis, monitoring client accounts against Investment Policy Statements, delivering performance reporting, and collaborating cross-functionally with Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Product Solutions teams.
You'll need a post-secondary degree in business or related field, CFA Charter, and CIRO Portfolio Manager (Discretionary) license. Experience with wealth management platforms, investment operations, and client-facing advisory is expected.
