Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Planning Analyst to join the Planning Analytics team in Costa Mesa, California. The Planning Analytics team is responsible for understanding internal planning tooling, processes, and the data that powers them. You will build resources that transform data into ad hoc reporting, dashboards, web applications, and automated workflows to drive measurable improvements to business velocity in the planning space.
In this role, you will work with the business-wide Analytics Engineering team to ensure SQL data pipelines are modeled correctly for planning reporting. You will use Palantir's Foundry platform and Databricks to conduct ad-hoc analysis for planning teams and produce web applications, dashboards, and automated workflows. Key responsibilities include: transforming raw ERP data extractions into structured datasets using SQL; generating dashboards and automated workflows using Palantir Foundry with Python/Typescript code; defining key performance metrics with planning leaders; automating repetitious processes; managing cross-functional projects; assessing external data sources; educating business users; and embedding AI into workflows.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field; 2+ years in analytics, operations engineering, data engineering, or software engineering (preferably in complex hardware industries); expertise in SQL; experience with data visualization and React-based application development; proficiency with Databricks and Palantir Foundry; advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Python or Typescript; expertise in manufacturing operations concepts (demand planning, supply planning, BOM management, inventory management); experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite); Git/GitHub knowledge; and API/JSON/XML experience.
Preferred qualifications include strong operational instincts with a track record of owning complex planning problems; strategic thinking with tactical execution; data-driven mindset; systems fluency across ERP platforms; cross-functional empathy; and comfort with ambiguity.
