Salary: USD 22 - 25 / hourly
Devoted Health is seeking a Pharmacy Guide to join their member outreach team. This is a high-volume, fast-paced role focused on helping Medicare Advantage members overcome barriers to medication adherence and accessing care support. You'll spend most of your day conducting outbound phone calls via an autodialer to engage members, build trust, identify underlying barriers to care, and enroll eligible members in pharmacy assistance, financial support, medication adherence, and care coordination programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing high-volume outbound phone calls to engage members in medication adherence and health support initiatives
- Building trust quickly through active listening and identifying root causes of member hesitation or barriers
- Using personalized communication to influence members toward health-improving actions
- Enrolling eligible members in relevant assistance and support programs
- Investigating member issues and coordinating with providers, pharmacies, and internal clinical teams to resolve needs
- Utilizing internal systems, AI-assisted tools, and knowledge resources to research and provide accurate information
- Documenting interactions accurately and managing follow-up responsibilities through resolution
- Adapting to changing tools, workflows, and priorities while applying coaching feedback to improve performance
Successful candidates are empathetic, curious, and strong problem-solvers who listen closely, adapt their approach to each member, and are comfortable working toward measurable performance goals. You'll need to be persuasive without being pushy, and comfortable spending most of your day on outbound calls with members who may be hesitant or initially uninterested.
Operational hours: Shifts are 8.5 hours (including 30-minute unpaid lunch) within coverage windows of either Tuesday-Saturday 9 AM–8:30 PM ET or Sunday-Thursday 9 AM–8:30 PM ET. Schedules are finalized during the offer process.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume member-, patient-, or customer-facing role involving outreach, engagement, enrollment, retention, behavior change, or consultative problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through active listening, curiosity, personalized communication, and thoughtful objection handling
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen carefully, answer directly, guide conversations efficiently, and explain complex information clearly and compassionately
- Strong problem-solving and judgment, including ability to investigate issues and determine appropriate next steps when the answer isn't immediately obvious
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to follow through on commitments
- Demonstrated coachability and ability to apply feedback to improve performance
- Comfort spending most of the day conducting outbound calls, including conversations with hesitant or initially uninterested members
- Comfort working toward individual performance expectations in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Healthcare, pharmacy, Medicare Advantage, medication adherence, patient/member engagement, care coordination, healthcare enrollment or retention, patient advocacy, or contact center experience
- Experience working remotely and independently
