The Periodic Review Specialist role is part of Aspire's Financial Crime & Compliance function. You will conduct ongoing reviews of existing customer accounts to ensure compliance with AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism) regulations and internal risk policies. This is a compliance operations role focused on identifying and mitigating financial crime risks throughout the customer lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive periodic reviews of customer accounts, analyzing transactional activity, customer profiles, source of funds, and ownership structures
- Identifying, investigating, and documenting potential AML/CFT or compliance risks, with escalation of complex or high-risk cases
- Collaborating with KYC (Know Your Customer), Transaction Monitoring, Fraud, and other internal teams to validate customer information and supporting documentation
- Preparing detailed case narratives, review summaries, and risk recommendations aligned with internal and regulatory standards
- Supporting process improvement initiatives by identifying operational gaps and contributing to enhancements in review methodologies and workflows
You will report to the Periodic Review Lead/Manager and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Compliance Operations. The team operates in a dynamic fintech environment with strong emphasis on ownership and accountability.
