Mercor is a Series C AI data company ($10B valuation) that organizes human intelligence to power the AI economy. The company operates a platform where millions of domain experts train frontier AI models, and is scaling rapidly across Engineering, Product, Delivery, and Operations. As People Programs Specialist, you will own and operate Mercor's core employee programs day to day, serving as the operational backbone for onboarding, manager development, and employee experience. You'll be the first touchpoint for new hires, the coordinator ensuring every cohort runs on schedule, and the analyst translating program data and feedback into actionable recommendations for People leadership. Key responsibilities include: **Universal Onboarding:** Run company-wide onboarding cohorts end to end, from pre-start logistics through day one, orientation, and 30/60/90-day check-ins. Host and facilitate onboarding sessions providing new hires a consistent foundation before function-specific training. Send managers weekly start lists with sufficient lead time, coordinate IT/Workplace/Talent for day-one setup, and partner with Strategic Operations on handoffs into function-specific onboarding. Track completion rates, survey results, and manager-reported ramp time, reporting trends and improvement recommendations to the Head of People. **Manager Development:** Operate Mercor's manager development program, handling cohort scheduling, participant communication, facilitator coordination, and session logistics. Collect attendance, feedback, and outcome data; prepare program reviews for People leadership. **Employee Experience:** Run perks, recognition, and community programs—day-to-day administration, employee questions, vendor management, and budget tracking. Keep program policies clear and current with effective communication. Propose new programs with cost analysis, problem statements, and measurement frameworks. **People Resources:** Maintain the People resource hub so employees and managers find answers independently. Write and maintain runbooks and employee-facing guides for all programs. Use ticketing, knowledge base tools, and AI to reduce repeat questions and manual work. You'll partner closely with Talent, Strategic Operations, IT, Workplace, Finance, and managers across the company. This is a hands-on role requiring someone with proven People program experience who thrives in a fast-scaling environment. The company operates in-person five days a week at offices in San Francisco, NYC, or London. **Requirements:** - 3 to 5+ years of hands-on program management in People programs, onboarding, learning and development, employee experience, or People operations, ideally at a high-growth technology company - Proven track record running a company-wide onboarding program or comparable recurring program across multiple teams, with demonstrated measurement and improvement - Experience coordinating vendors, budgets, and external facilitators - Exceptional organization and attention to detail managing multiple concurrent programs - Ability to independently own high-volume, time-sensitive processes and resolve problems without escalation, while knowing when to escalate decisions - Comfort with data analysis: survey results, completion analytics, and spreadsheets translated into clear findings - Confident facilitator comfortable presenting to new hire cohorts and manager groups - Clear, warm writing for employees, managers, and external partners - People-first presence; trusted by employees to guide them effectively - High urgency and ownership in a fast-moving, changing environment - Fluency with AI tools and proactive approach to automating People work - High discretion with confidential employee information **Nice to haves:** - Experience running onboarding or employee programs at companies scaling rapidly past several hundred people - Familiarity with Rippling, Notion, and ticketing/service desk tools - Event or offsite planning at scale - Working knowledge of leave, benefits, or employment compliance
