Braze is seeking a People Data Analyst to join its People Operations team in Chicago. This role is part of the People Analytics function and plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven people decisions across the organization.
You will report to the Manager, People Analytics & Solutions and collaborate closely with all People team functions, as well as the Growth (BI & Data Engineering) and IT departments. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Maintain and improve Workday and Looker dashboards to drive scalability and sustainability
- Audit data pipelines to ensure accuracy across Workday, Greenhouse, and Snowflake systems
- Design and implement reports, dashboards, and analyses that transform people data into actionable insights for key stakeholders
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests through ticketing systems in a timely manner
- Extract and transform data in preparation for advanced modeling and statistical analysis
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design data solutions aligned with strategic needs
- Maintain thorough understanding of data governance and adhere to security and sharing standards
You bring 2+ years of HR Analytics experience (or a master's degree in an applicable field plus 1 year of experience). You are proficient in SQL and data transformation (Snowflake experience preferred), skilled in Python or another data analysis language, and experienced building dashboards with tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI. You have a track record of transforming data into insights, building reports within HR systems, and consulting with stakeholders. You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, professional maturity when handling sensitive data, and strong communication skills.
