Braze is seeking a People Data Analyst to join its People Operations team in New York City. This role sits within the People Analytics function and plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven people decisions across the organization.
You will work collaboratively with the People team, Growth (BI & Data Engineering), and IT departments to build reports, dashboards, and conduct ad-hoc analysis on HR programs, policies, and procedures. Reporting to the Manager of People Analytics & Solutions, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving Workday and Looker dashboards, ensuring data accuracy across systems (Workday, Greenhouse, Snowflake), and transforming people data into actionable insights for key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing reports and dashboards, auditing data pipelines for accuracy, responding to reporting requests through ticketing systems, extracting and transforming data for advanced modeling, and maintaining understanding of data governance and security standards.
You should have 2+ years of HR Analytics experience (or a master's degree plus 1 year experience), proficiency in SQL and database transformation (Snowflake preferred), experience with data analysis languages like Python, and expertise building dashboards in tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI. Experience with HR systems (Workday, Greenhouse) is valued. You'll need strong attention to detail, ability to consult with stakeholders, professional discretion with sensitive data, and excellent communication skills.
