Blank Street is a fast-growing food and beverage brand building a distinctive hospitality experience around premium everyday moments like morning coffee and afternoon matcha. The People Associate role is a trusted partner to the UK Operations Team, supporting stores across the market during a period of growth.
You will work closely with Assistant General Managers and General Managers to strengthen teams, elevate performance, and enhance the employee experience. This role blends strategic partnership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations & Compliance: Provide first-line support on employee relations cases including attendance, absence, performance, conduct, and wellbeing. Ensure policies and employment practices align with UK employment legislation and company standards. Maintain accurate case records and support managers with documentation, investigations, and compliance reporting.
2. HR Advice & Manager Support: Act as a trusted first point of contact for people queries, coaching managers on day-to-day people matters and best practice. Support managers to build high-performing, engaged teams through effective people conversations, feedback, and performance management. Partner with operational leaders to ensure people decisions align with company values and business objectives.
3. People Projects: Contribute to the delivery of People initiatives across the business. Coordinate project activities, communications, and stakeholder updates. Gather feedback and insights from the field to evaluate the impact of People programmes and recommend improvements.
4. Field Insights & Trends: Analyse people data and feedback to identify emerging trends across stores, including attrition, absence, engagement, and employee relations themes. Share insights and recommendations with the People team to support proactive decision-making. Build strong relationships with managers to understand operational challenges and ensure the voice of the field informs People priorities.
The role is based in-person at the London office, reports to the UK People Business Partner, with occasional travel to other regions expected.
