SmithRx is a venture-backed healthtech company disrupting the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sector with a next-generation drug acquisition platform. The company has onboarded hundreds of thousands of members since 2016 and is rapidly growing.
As Network Pricing Strategy Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting supply chain operations and strategy. You will analyze, develop, and execute pricing strategies across the supply chain—including retail pharmacy, mail pharmacy, specialty, rebate aggregators, and pharmaceutical manufacturers—to help SmithRx compete more effectively in the market.
This role is both internal and external-facing. You will participate in meetings with supply chain partners to present and explain SmithRx pricing proposals. Success requires a solid understanding of pharmacy reimbursement, pricing benchmarks, PBM client pricing, and the competitive landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and grow relationships with key pricing and business intelligence supply chain contacts to increase partner understanding of SmithRx capabilities
- Leverage data analytics and economic modeling to support conversations and proposals surrounding pharmacy benefit offerings
- Analyze market opportunities to identify and open new channels for the sales organization
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Sales Ops, Partnerships, Analytics, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies
- Build functional enablement materials (playbooks, cheat sheets, objection-handling guides, FAQs) to improve solution knowledge across teams
- Participate in and facilitate partner meetings to present SmithRx differentiators and value propositions
- Prepare materials and assist in delivering training internally to sales teams and externally to supply chain partners
- Assist in tracking and demonstrating client value and ROI achieved through shared strategic partnerships
The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial insurance (self-funded programs), relationship management, data-driven analysis, and external presentations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in pharmacy, healthcare tech, or the PBM space
- 3+ years of experience in pricing strategy, pharmacy reimbursement, or business intelligence
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
- Experience working effectively within a high-growth, fast-changing environment
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex internal processes and data into actionable insight
- Excellent presentation, writing, and interpersonal communication skills
- Hands-on proficiency leveraging technology, Looker or BI platforms, and analytical tools
