Salary: USD 23.5 - 28 / hourly

Pie Insurance is seeking a Payroll Partner Service Advocate to join its Payroll Partner team. This mid-level customer service role focuses on resolving routine to advanced customer issues and requests from payroll partners and insureds. Key Responsibilities: - Provide responsive, timely, and relevant service to payroll partners via email and platform-based communication - Maintain SLAs set by the Payroll Partner Ops team consistently and efficiently - Handle policy issuance, general questions, follow-up communication, cancellation requests, renewal policy management, and urgent escalations - Respond within 24 hours or less to requests from payroll partners - Apply advanced Workers Comp knowledge to policy, billing, and agency questions - Build relationships with partners and internal teams to ensure consistent, excellent communication - Seek resolutions while anticipating ways to prevent future issues - Advocate for payroll partner needs and customer perspectives - Support onboarding and training of new hires, including process training and feedback - Assist in testing and training of new processes and systems - Maintain library of SOPs and training materials - Complete other duties as assigned About Pie Insurance: Pie's mission is to empower small businesses to thrive by making commercial insurance affordable and easy. Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required - Associate degree, trade/technical school certificates, or bachelor's degree preferred - 1+ year in a high-volume customer contact environment required - 1+ year of insurance customer service, administrative, or sales experience required - 1+ year Payroll Partner customer service experience preferred - Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to develop sound processes and workflows - Ability to navigate and solve advanced to complex issues within Pie's platforms - Ability to think ahead and identify hidden obstacles - Proficient communication skills (verbal and written) to build strong relationships - Advanced speed, accuracy, and consistency in completing work - Intermediate problem-solving skills to resolve simple to moderately complicated problems with little guidance - Self-direction and responsibility for own tasks, deliverables, and timelines - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Proficiency with G-Suite Tools, Salesforce, Payment Processing Systems, and Slack highly preferred
