Salary: USD 50,000 - 68,000 / annual
Groups Recover Together, a rapidly expanding multi-location, multi-state healthcare company, seeks a Payroll Administrator to manage all payroll functions for the organization. This fully remote role reports to the finance team and serves as the central hub for payroll operations across multiple states and pay platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll for W-2 employees and 1099 contractors across multiple states using four different payroll systems
- Coordinate with the People Team on new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence to ensure accuracy
- Work with regional and department leaders to ensure timely timecard approvals
- Maintain earnings codes, pay codes, departments, and locations within ADP
- Manage employee transfers and home location updates in coordination with People Team and Finance
- Initiate state registration for new locations to ensure proper tax withholding and unemployment insurance compliance
- Serve as liaison for Workers' Compensation billing and reporting
- Support employees with payroll-related questions and issues
- Ensure accuracy of benefits journal entries and timely bill payments
- Generate monthly payroll variance reports by location against budget and prior periods
- Reconcile payroll accounts including Payroll Liabilities, HSA Payable, and 401K Payable
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience; 5+ years payroll administration experience; experience in multi-location for-profit healthcare; proficiency with HRIS and payroll platforms (ADP, Workday, or UKG); strong Excel skills; knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act and federal/state wage and hour laws; ability to maintain confidentiality and process high-volume data accurately.
