Pearl is an AI-powered professional services platform connecting millions of customers with licensed experts across 196 countries. As a Payments Analyst on the Finance team, you'll provide analytical support across payments performance, testing, and process optimization for a global e-commerce membership organization.
You'll conduct in-depth payment data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities. Your work will span sample sizing and monitoring for testing initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance authorization rates and payment processes. You'll create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into key payment metrics, translating findings into clear, actionable insights that drive revenue growth and improve customer experience.
Key responsibilities include responding to ad-hoc analytical requests, identifying opportunities to optimize payment processes, and providing data-driven recommendations. You'll explore practical applications of AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive tasks, support testing workflows, and improve reporting.
You should have 2–4+ years of experience in a highly analytical consumer, marketplace, fintech, or similar data-driven business. Strong SQL skills are essential for extracting and analyzing data from complex datasets. You'll need strong visualization capabilities in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools, plus strong Excel proficiency. The ideal candidate takes ownership of analytical projects, moving from data extraction through interpretation to insights and recommendations, with a collaborative mindset for cross-functional work. Experience with AI tools or strong openness to adopting them is valued. Nice-to-have skills include payments domain experience, acquirer/processor/payment gateway environments, high-risk merchant space exposure, or A/B testing and experimentation familiarity.
