Salary: USD 115,000 - 160,000 / annual
Via is a transportation technology company founded in 2012 that builds AI-powered software and operations solutions to modernize public transit systems globally. The company works with cities, transit agencies, and public transit providers to digitize and optimize fixed-route buses, microtransit, paratransit, school buses, autonomous vehicles, and more.
As Partnership Proposals Lead, you will own the end-to-end development and execution of high-stakes written proposals for new partnerships with cities and transit agencies. You'll work closely with Via's Strategy, Partnerships, Expansion, and Finance teams to understand customer needs, develop winning strategies for competitive procurements, and craft persuasive, technically sophisticated proposals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with internal teams to develop strategies for competitive procurements
- Becoming an expert in Via's technology, products, and operational capabilities, then translating complex technical specifications into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences
- Writing, reviewing, and editing comprehensive long-form proposals
- Conducting rigorous research on cities, transit agencies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes
- Leading procurements from evaluation through submission
- Managing communications with potential partners via phone and email
- Supporting senior leadership during interviews and launches
- Generating original, data-driven content that demonstrates Via's unique positioning

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience with a demonstrated record of achievement in roles requiring extensive, high-quality written communication (e.g., business proposals, policy memos, graduate theses, journalism, creative non-fiction)
- Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred, ideally in humanities or social sciences with emphasis on qualitative analysis and long-form writing
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strategic thinking and judgment; ability to balance persuasion with compromise
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Data-savvy mindset with ability to craft evidence-based narratives using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Passion for public transit, urban studies, sustainability, equity, and accessibility
- Self-starter mentality with ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments
- No specific technology or public transit background required
