OpenAI is hiring a Partner Director to build and operationalize a best-in-class partner ecosystem in Australia. This role owns the complete partner lifecycle—from partner selection and assessment through contract signature, onboarding, enablement, joint solution development, and commercial activation.
You will be the primary point of contact between OpenAI and partner organizations (delivery, technical, and sales teams), ensuring partnerships deliver measurable results. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day relationships with signed services partners, driving multi-workstream onboarding (sales training, technical enablement, security, provisioning, support), ensuring partner readiness to deploy and resell OpenAI solutions, orchestrating co-developed solutions, monitoring partner performance and flagging risks early, and coordinating across OpenAI teams (Sales, Solution Engineering, Enablement, Operations, Customer Success, Marketing).
You will establish operational rhythms such as roadmap briefings, asset distribution, and sales enablement refreshes, and ensure compliance with partnership agreements including commercial terms and reporting cadences.
Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in alliances, partner success, or enterprise software/systems integration sales; deep experience in partner onboarding and activation (preferably with hyperscale cloud, enterprise SaaS, consulting firms, or regional systems integrators); strong program management skills across multiple workstreams; familiarity with the Australian enterprise ecosystem; experience in early-stage, high-growth companies where partner programs are nascent; ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments; excellent communication and influence without authority; and native-level English fluency.
The role reports to the APAC Partnerships Lead in Singapore and is based in Sydney with a hybrid work model (3 days in office per week). Relocation assistance is offered.
