Carwow is one of Europe's largest car-changing destinations, combining technology, media, and automotive expertise to transform how people buy, sell, advertise, and lease cars. With over 10 million customers and £3bn in cars bought last year, the company recently doubled its audience by acquiring Autovia (Auto Express and evo). The brands now reach 350+ million users annually.
This role sits within GYC (Get Your Car) Advertising, a fast-growing commercial team building Carwow's Used and New Car Advertising business. You'll join a startup-like environment within the larger organization, characterized by small team size, high ownership, evolving products, and intentionally limited structure.
As a Partner Acquisition Specialist (BDR), your mission is to create qualified pipeline from cold outbound outreach, focused initially on Used Car Advertising, and set the sales team up to win. This is not a closing role—it's about discipline, resilience, and learning to build strong sales fundamentals in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
Key responsibilities include: generating outbound pipeline through cold calls and messages to independent dealers and retail groups; opening relevant commercial conversations about Used Car Advertising; booking qualified meetings only for Business Development Managers; asking structured discovery questions to understand dealer context (stock size, sales velocity, investment appetite); disqualifying early when there's no fit; learning how carwow demand works and used-car dealer economics; improving messaging and objection handling through repetition and feedback; hitting clear daily and weekly activity targets; maintaining accurate CRM records; and protecting BDM time by avoiding low-quality meetings.
The role is ideal if you want to learn outbound sales properly, build real commercial skills, and progress over time into broader Used and New Car Advertising roles. It's not for you if you prefer inbound/warm leads, dislike repetition, prefer closing over qualifying, or need heavy structure from day one.
Requirements: Comfortable with cold outreach and rejection; clear, concise communicator; able to follow structure and process consistently; curious about how businesses make money; coachable and open to feedback; resilient and focused under pressure. Bonus: previous outbound sales or customer-facing experience; exposure to automotive, marketplaces, or performance-led products; desire to progress into senior commercial roles.
