As a Partner Account Manager based in Richmond, Virginia, you will be responsible for developing, building, and amplifying referral relationships with key partners in the SMB ecosystem, including tech partners, human capital management (HCM) platforms, benefit brokers, CPAs, and financial advisors. Your primary focus will be to engage and grow Human Interest's key accounts and partnership opportunities, serving as a bridge between partners and internal teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strategic referral networks focused on lead generation and new partnership opportunities
- Proactively identifying and resolving emerging issues by collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams
- Working with Partner Marketing to execute initiatives such as educational events, webinars, and email campaigns to drive partner sales
- Establishing business goals and performance metrics with partners to develop effective go-to-market strategies and demand-generation activities
- Managing sales cycles and maintaining relationships using Salesforce and other tools
- Spending approximately 3 days per week in the field meeting with partners
You should bring 2+ years of experience building and maintaining relationships with tech and HCM partners, brokers, and advisors in the SMB space, with a proven track record in quota-driven sales environments. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated relationship builder who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates resilience, communicates exceptionally well, and has a growth mindset. Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred, and you must be comfortable with regular travel.
