Salary: USD 90,000 - 120,000 / annual
Skyryse is building aviation safety technology that simplifies aircraft management during standard operations, emergencies, and inclement weather. The company is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to help establish and grow the legal function alongside the VP, General Counsel.
You will be the on-site legal operations anchor in El Segundo, responsible for designing legal infrastructure for a fast-growing aviation tech company. Key responsibilities include maintaining corporate records, board materials, and annual filings; drafting and reviewing routine contracts (NDAs, resolutions, commercial agreements) under attorney direction; owning contract lifecycle management end-to-end (intake, naming, filing, maintenance); managing state and local licensing and foreign qualifications; supporting transactional work including M&A and financing due diligence; designing and implementing legal department processes (templates, trackers, SOPs, matter tracking, document retention); supporting IP matters (trademark applications, IP assignments); processing outside counsel invoices and tracking legal spend; conducting legal research; and providing administrative support to the General Counsel and CEO as needed.
Required: Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent; 5+ years of paralegal, legal operations, contracts, corporate governance, or comparable legal support experience; hands-on proficiency with contract lifecycle management tools, e-signature platforms, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, document management systems, and legal tech; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, written/verbal communication, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information; service-oriented business-partner mindset in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred: prior in-house legal department experience; startup, technology, or high-growth company background; aerospace regulations or aviation legal knowledge; experience with legal AI tools (Spellbook, contract review, legal research, document automation); notary public commission or willingness to obtain one.
