You will serve as the Outsourcing Manager for Japan, building and managing the outsourcing oversight framework from the ground up in one of Revolut's fastest-growing regions. This is a key leadership role responsible for establishing third-party risk management policies and operating models tailored to the Japanese regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and implementing local third-party risk management policy and operating model
- Managing outsourcing relationships with primary service providers and local vendors, ensuring compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements
- Overseeing due diligence, risk assessments, and vendor monitoring for both intra-group and external providers
- Monitoring SLAs, downtime, subcontracting, patch management, and remediation plans to ensure service quality and operational resilience
- Collaborating with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to prepare audit-ready documentation
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations on outsourcing, capital adequacy, and operational resilience
- Providing guidance to staff on third-party risk management procedures
- Preparing regular reports for senior management on outsourcing risks, compliance, and performance metrics
- Laying the foundation for a vendor management team in Japan as the business scales
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in vendor management, outsourcing oversight, or third-party risk management within financial services or fintech
- Solid knowledge of outsourcing regulations and their application to financial institutions
- Experience developing service monitoring frameworks, due diligence processes, and risk assessments for outsourced arrangements
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across local and global teams
- Fluency in English
