YipitData is a unicorn-valued ($1B+) market research and analytics firm backed by The Carlyle Group. The company analyzes billions of alternative data points daily to uncover insights across software, AI, cloud, e-commerce, ridesharing, and payments sectors, serving top investment funds and Fortune 500 companies.
You will own YipitData's SEO and AEO (AI Engine Optimization) strategy end-to-end, building the organic growth engine from the ground up. The role centers on understanding how buyers search and ask questions across their journey, then creating authoritative content that surfaces in both traditional search and AI-generated answers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute overall SEO and AEO strategy, from technical foundations to AI answer engine optimization
- Map keywords, queries, and questions across the full buyer journey to identify search intent and content gaps
- Create prioritized content roadmaps with detailed briefs specifying target queries, structure, entities, and proof points
- Coordinate with the YipitAgent team on content production and own quality review before publication
- Build tracking and reporting systems for organic sessions, AI-sourced visibility, citation share, conversion rates, and pipeline attribution
- Implement continuous iteration and refresh programs based on performance data
- Manage third-party presence on platforms influencing buyers and AI models (Reddit, Quora, Crunchbase, G2, industry directories)
- Partner with PR on citation strategy to position YipitData's proprietary data as a reference source
- Implement technical SEO best practices including structured data, schema, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals
- Run regular experiments on content titles, formats, structure, and distribution channels
Success is measured by quarter-over-quarter growth in non-branded and AI-sourced sessions, YipitData being cited in AI-generated answers, consistent content velocity with performance-based refresh cycles, and organic becoming a reliable, attributable source of conversions and pipeline.
This is a builder's role where you'll shape the program from scratch with data, tooling, and support to move quickly. You'll collaborate closely with content, product, design, sales, and engineering teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, or organic growth, ideally at B2B SaaS or data companies, with measurable outcomes (organic traffic, rankings, or pipeline attribution)
- Direct experience with AEO, generative engine optimization, or AI search visibility (required)
- Fluency in modern SEO toolkit and active experimentation with AI visibility and citation tracking tools
- Ability to think in questions and answers, building buyer-journey maps connecting search intent to content strategy
- Strong editorial skills; ability to write clear, specific content briefs and assess what makes content genuinely authoritative
- Testing mindset: preference for scrappy weekly experiments over lengthy planning; ability to treat failed tests as data
- Comfort with technical SEO fundamentals (crawlability, indexation, site structure, Core Web Vitals, structured data) and ability to work effectively with engineers
- Operator mentality with experience building systems and processes from scratch
- Current knowledge of how search engines and LLMs are changing content discovery and citation
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with clear communication of priorities, results, and tradeoffs
