Salary: USD 132,000 - 178,000 / annual

Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The company is seeking an experienced Optimization Data Analyst to join the Performance Optimization team in San Francisco. In this role, you will independently lead complex analyses and drive scalable optimizations across Adyen's payment platform. Key responsibilities include analyzing large-scale payment datasets to identify performance trends and optimization opportunities, designing and building scalable analytics solutions and automation pipelines, and partnering with Product, Data, and Commercial teams to translate business challenges into analytical solutions. You will lead A/B testing and data investigations, develop data-driven strategies, and communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling data storytelling. Additionally, you will contribute to knowledge-sharing and best practices within the team. You should have 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or similar roles, ideally in fintech, payments, or high-growth tech environments. Required technical skills include strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark for large-scale data processing, experience designing and developing ETL and data pipelines, familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Airflow) and Git version control, and solid experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau. You should have deep understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and data mining, along with strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management abilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-directed, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic global environment, and possesses excellent communication skills.
