Nox Metals is hiring an Operations Specialist to support scaling production across their metal manufacturing operations. This is a versatile, hands-on role that spans production floor support, inventory management, logistics coordination, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily production operations across saw operations, providing flexible support wherever the floor needs it
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to scale throughput and track performance metrics
- Manage operational tasks including inventory counts, order staging, and truck coordination
- Maintain accuracy and organization in receiving, inventory, and shipping functions
- Collaborate with the software team to streamline job workflows from quote through shipment
- Build and continuously improve processes, checklists, and floor layouts as the company grows
- Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and increase operational velocity
- Take ownership of emerging challenges and adapt to evolving needs
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Urgent, organized, and fast-moving with high agency and problem-solving ability
- Intellectually curious with a track record of generating and implementing new ideas
- Low ego, customer-obsessed, and mission-driven
- Comfortable working on a manufacturing shop floor and flexible with hours
- Bonus experience in manufacturing, machining, metal service centers, or logistics
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex problems while knowing when to escalate
- Comfort with hands-on shop floor work and willingness to work outside standard hours
- Strong organizational and process-improvement mindset
- Experience in manufacturing, machining, metal service centers, or logistics is preferred but not required
