Onebrief builds collaboration and AI-powered workflow software for military planning and operational coordination. As Operations Manager, you will own the entire customer relationship with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and related government stakeholders, serving as the senior field representative and trusted advisor to users and senior executives alike.
You will manage a team of Partner Engagement Managers, balancing account complexity and renewal timelines while driving customer retention, expansion, and upsell opportunities. Core responsibilities include building alignment across internal teams and government stakeholders to meet account requirements and advance strategic initiatives; translating product usage and account health into renewal and growth outcomes; clearly communicating user needs to the product team while maintaining deep product expertise; and cultivating lasting customer trust through clear, influential communication across diverse stakeholder perspectives.
You will coordinate with fellow Operations Managers to ensure planning and workflows remain synchronized across commands, enable expansion opportunities to allies and partners, and support adoption of Onebrief capabilities into existing workflows. Success requires navigating large government organizations, solving bureaucratic challenges, and delivering outcomes in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Minimum qualifications include experience with large-scale staff planning through professional education or military service; familiarity with major planning exercises and classified network deployment protocols; proven ability to expand business presence in a region with software/technology solutions; experience in customer support (face-to-face and remote); strong technical skills to master the application and troubleshoot cross-platform issues; and ability to navigate government organizations effectively. A current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Preferred qualifications include technical aptitude (power-user capability and ability to discuss engineering with customers), strong customer-facing skills with ability to tailor communication across organizational levels, proactive and adaptable mindset, and clear, concise, candid communication. Success in the first six months will be measured by ownership of accounts and contracts, strategic growth and opportunity development, people and team leadership, executive and organizational engagement, and resource coordination.
