The Operations Manager will lead Veo's dockless micromobility program in Syracuse, overseeing daily warehouse and field operations while driving ridership growth and team performance. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic leadership and direct operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse and field operations, including physical tasks such as moving scooters, driving vans, and maintaining equipment
- Set and manage daily routes for hourly associates for fleet deployment and repositioning
- Identify gaps in operations metrics and develop solutions to address them
- Drive timely and accurate submission of fleet health counts, weekly operations data updates, and maintenance requests
- Recruit, train, and lead the local operations team
- Ensure operations comply with city agreements and company standard operating procedures
- Manage inventory and coordinate parts ordering
- Strengthen local partnerships and provide exceptional customer service
- Measure success by driving daily ridership, leading a high-performing team, and delivering user satisfaction
The ideal candidate is self-directed, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has a proven track record of driving success. This is a fully onsite role based in Syracuse.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 1–2 years of operations management experience in fleets, warehousing, distribution, delivery, or similar fields
- Comfortable lifting 60 lbs routinely
- Ownership mindset with bias for action
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Willingness and ability to work a variety of days and shifts
- Quantitative decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication abilities
