The Expert Insights division delivers market intelligence through AlphaSense's Expert Transcript Library and 1x1 Call Services, featuring over 140,000 transcripts covering all economic sectors. The Directed Content team generates thousands of high-value calls quarterly, identifying and recruiting world-class experts to ensure comprehensive coverage of strategic content targets.
As Operations Manager for Directed Content, you will report to the Senior Manager of Generated Content and oversee research pods staffed with bilingual Analysts (including Mandarin speakers). You are accountable for overall pod performance, team motivation, and delivery against volume and coverage goals.
Key responsibilities include: managing and developing a diverse team of Analysts; setting and tracking performance KPIs balancing quality, relevance, and volume; guiding professional development; partnering with Project Managers and Sector Leads to ensure library quality and adjust research focus; coordinating coverage territories based on evolving goals and capacity; hiring and onboarding Analysts; aligning research pod capacity with leadership-defined coverage goals; designing process documentation with the Enablement team; ensuring optimal expert contributor coverage; troubleshooting workflow issues and driving process improvements; and approving expert rates above threshold while maintaining average costs below $300 per call.

Requirements: Experience managing teams of professional analysts or researchers; proven track record in performance management, goal-setting, and professional development coaching; demonstrated ability to build and maintain team culture; experience with KPI definition and data-driven management; strong process optimization and workflow improvement background; experience hiring and onboarding professional staff; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
