Blank Street is a fast-growing food and beverage brand on a mission to become the defining brand of its generation. As an Operations Manager, you will lead a district of café locations and manage a team of General Managers, driving both people development and operational excellence.
Your primary responsibility is growing people. You'll hire, coach, and develop General Managers into confident leaders who build engaged, high-performing teams. You'll create clarity, build capability, and foster a culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous learning across your district.
You'll own three core areas:
People: Build and coach a high-performing team of General Managers. Recruit and hire exceptional leaders in partnership with the People Team. Coach managers through performance, development, and employee relations with fairness and care. Lead labor planning, scheduling, and staffing strategies. Ensure every café delivers consistent, high-quality training.
Operations & Customer Experience: Champion exceptional hospitality and hold teams to Blank Street's standards for service, quality, and execution. Spend time in stores coaching teams and leading by example. Maintain operational excellence, food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards across every location. Partner with HQ teams to implement new initiatives and operational improvements.
Business Performance: Own the financial performance of your district, including sales, labor, and profitability. Use data and insights to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement. Build strong relationships within local communities to grow brand awareness and customer loyalty.
You'll also lead through change with clarity, urgency, and empathy, collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes, and help develop the next generation of Blank Street leaders.
Requirements: 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business. Experience leading multiple locations and developing managers. Strong operational, financial, and business acumen. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, make decisions, and lead through change. Passion for hospitality, developing people, and creating exceptional customer and employee experiences. Ability to travel regularly between stores within your market.
Full-time role requiring 50 hours per week, 5 days of availability, and availability to work 2 peak days (typically Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
