Via is a transportation technology company on a mission to transform public transit systems into smart, data-driven networks. As Operations Manager, you will lead daily onsite operations for a transit service, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders and communities.
You will own the day-to-day execution of service operations, making real-time decisions about fleet management, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs. You'll guide and support professional CDL drivers, building strong relationships and addressing concerns to maintain service quality and driver morale. - Comfort working around Class B/Class A vehicles (35–45-foot coach buses) and understanding of their safety, maintenance, and maneuvering requirements
- Relationship-oriented with ability to earn trust from drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners through clear communication and follow-through
- Hands-on and proactive approach, preferring field-based problem-solving
- Tactical and strategic mindset: solving immediate issues while thinking long-term about mitigation
- Mission-driven focus on expanding transportation access and improving community mobility
- Based in Rochester, MN and available for 4–5 days per week onsite
