As a Network Engineer II in the Business Technology Core IT team, you will help maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot Samsara's global on-premise network infrastructure with a particular focus on Cisco Meraki environments. Working alongside senior network engineers, you will build hands-on expertise while contributing to high availability and performance for a rapidly growing, recently public company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configure, install, and maintain network hardware and software components including Meraki switches, access points, and firewalls under senior guidance
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and issue resolution for day-to-day network incidents using Meraki Dashboard, Wireshark, and packet captures
- Assist in developing and deploying network automation scripts and tools to enhance efficiency
- Support network maintenance activities including hardware and software upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning
- Collaborate with IT team members to integrate network systems with other applications
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to monitor network health and performance
- Provide technical support and training to end-users
- Create and update documentation for network designs, best practices, and operational procedures
- Support hardware lifecycle management from procurement to decommissioning
- Partner with vendors and service providers on network initiatives
