Cape is America's privacy-first mobile carrier founded in 2022, having just closed Series C funding in March 2026. The company has built its own network infrastructure from the ground up to deliver privacy and security features unavailable from legacy carriers, serving consumers, businesses, and government agencies. As an Account Executive focused on the Navy, you will drive revenue growth by positioning Cape's proprietary privacy and security solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense. You act as a trusted advisor, understanding the unique needs of government clients and navigating complex procurement processes. Key responsibilities include: - Revenue Generation: Achieve annual sales targets by closing new Navy deals and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing government accounts. - Strategic Account Management: Develop comprehensive account plans for key Navy engagements, maintain deep knowledge of government procurement (PPBE, POM processes), and build long-term strategic relationships. - Pipeline Development: Build a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach, relationship building, and lead generation in collaboration with marketing and business development teams. - Client Satisfaction: Serve as primary point of contact for government clients, ensuring smooth communication, timely responses, and issue resolution. - Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, government initiatives, and competitive landscape; provide feedback to product and marketing teams. Required qualifications: 5+ years in customer-facing roles (AE, customer success, solutions engineer) or equivalent government experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Domain expertise in cyber operations, privacy, security, or telecommunications. Enterprise sales experience, ideally at early-stage defense companies. Active U.S. TS/SCI clearance required. Willingness to travel up to 75%. Based in DC or New York area (relocation assistance available). You should have gritty technical skills (ability to automate tasks, tailor technical solutions), exceptional written and verbal communication, and an adaptive, introspective mindset.
