Salary: USD 70,500 - 70,500 / annual

Zefr is a leading global technology company enabling responsible marketing in walled garden social environments. The company provides AI-powered solutions that help brands manage content adjacency on platforms like YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and Snap, ensuring compliance with industry standards. As a Multilingual Data Annotation Specialist, you will be foundational to training and improving Zefr's advanced AI systems. Your primary responsibility is annotating videos, images, and metadata across major social platforms using internal tools and contextual category guidelines. You'll conduct daily annotation work and quality evaluation across multiple content formats, applying both cognitive and cultural nuance when making judgment calls on complex or sensitive content. Key responsibilities include: - Labeling social media content according to established frameworks - Performing quality assurance across multiple project pipelines - Identifying emerging trends, edge cases, and potential issues - Conducting root cause analyses to improve content quality - Interpreting and helping refine labeling frameworks and documentation - Generating weekly reports with findings and recommendations - Providing insights on content patterns and interface improvements - Maintaining knowledge of company policies and suggesting optimizations You'll work with sensitive content including political topics, religious perspectives, violence, and adult material, requiring sound judgment and cultural fluency. The role offers foundational exposure to machine learning concepts and demonstrates how high-quality annotation data powers AI systems. Required qualifications include professional experience in annotation, content moderation, labeling, QA, or policy enforcement; strong cultural fluency; familiarity with major social platforms; exceptional attention to detail; strong written communication; ability to apply style guides; experience with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT); and proficiency in Google Workspace. SQL familiarity is a plus. Fluency in English and Hindi is required; additional languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Turkish, Tagalog) are valued. You must be reliable, self-motivated, analytically strong, comfortable with fast-paced environments, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. The hybrid schedule requires 2-3 days per week in the Marina del Rey office.
