Tempus is seeking an MRD Clinical Account Executive to drive adoption of its Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) testing services across the San Antonio/Austin South territory. The company's proprietary platform leverages AI and real-world evidence to deliver actionable clinical insights to physicians, enabling precision medicine in oncology. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Tempus's MRD testing services to clinicians and healthcare providers, with a focus on major U.S. cancer centers, health systems, and community practices. You will engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and executive-level decision-makers (CEO, COO, CFO) to establish and expand business opportunities. Your core responsibilities include: • Driving adoption of MRD testing services within your assigned territory, targeting academic medical centers, health systems, and community oncology practices • Developing and implementing strategic business plans for territory growth, including budgets, travel logistics, and goal setting • Engaging in consultative selling to develop strategic plans for acquiring new clients and retaining existing ones • Implementing laboratory services agreements (LSAs) with institutions that opt for client billing, maximizing client-bill contracting opportunities • Identifying and developing partnership opportunities between oncology clients and Tempus to promote integration of MRD testing into clinical practice • Collaborating with cross-functional sales teams to ensure attainment of company goals and objectives • Providing market analysis and competitive landscape feedback to Tempus leadership based on assigned accounts • Representing Tempus's company culture with integrity, respect, and trust to external and internal stakeholders You will work with minimal direction, leveraging strong communication, project management, and prioritization skills. Advanced presentation abilities and business acumen are essential, as is the ability to develop cross-functional relationships. REQUIREMENTS: • B.S. in life science, biology, business, or marketing (MBA preferred) • 3+ years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic setting, with focus on MRD testing preferred • Proven track record of revenue generation in a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company • Experience working with major cancer centers, oncology GPOs, large health systems, and oncology practices • Proven ability to sell integrated molecular diagnostic solutions and engage in consultative selling processes • In-depth understanding of the payer and reimbursement environment in oncology diagnostics • Knowledgeable about molecular diagnostics, MRD testing, and the competitive landscape in oncology • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.com • Independent work ethic with strong communication, project management, and prioritization skills • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships to facilitate work goals and objectives
