Knock is a fintech company redefining the home buying and selling experience through its Bridge Loan product, which allows homebuyers to purchase before selling their current home. The company has grown into a trusted partner for thousands of homebuyers and a network of 60,000+ loan officers and agents across the country.
As a Mortgage Processor/Underwriter (Bridge Loan Specialist), you will review Knock Bridge Loans to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting guidelines. This hybrid role combines traditional processing and underwriting responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Calculate Bridge Loan advance amounts using internal calculations and guidelines
- Condition loan files based on loan applications and documentation
- Review title reports and insurance to ensure Knock's lien position and security interest
- Manage a daily pipeline of loans while maintaining company turnaround times
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, lending partners, agents, and borrowers
- Provide consistent updates on loan status and approvals
- Stay current with company policies, industry regulations, and market changes
- Mentor and support team development
- Support ad-hoc projects and team initiatives
You bring 3+ years of relevant mortgage industry experience, with background as a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor or Junior Underwriter. You have strong analytical and decision-making skills, excellent organizational abilities to manage competing priorities, and exceptional written and verbal communication. You're comfortable working 100% remotely, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in fast-paced startup environments. Knowledge of loan products, credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, and lending systems is essential. You're a quick learner who adopts new technologies easily and are passionate about real estate disruption and making a meaningful impact.
