Raisin, a leading fintech platform for savings and investment products founded in 2012, is seeking an experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to join its Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) department in Frankfurt. The company connects consumers with banks across the EU, UK, and US, currently serving over one million investors managing 80+ billion euros in assets.
In this senior compliance role, you will serve as the primary regulatory liaison with BaFin and the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), ensuring Raisin Bank meets all requirements under the German Money Laundering Act (GwG) and Banking Act (KWG). You will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive anti-financial crime policies, conduct annual group risk analyses to identify money laundering and fraud risks, and oversee transaction monitoring systems with hands-on investigation of high-risk accounts.
Key responsibilities include designing internal AFC guidelines reflecting the latest regulatory updates, providing expert advisory to the Board and business units on high-risk client onboarding (PEPs, high-risk jurisdictions), developing mandatory AML/CTF training programs for all employees, and coordinating with internal and external auditors during annual compliance audits. You will also mentor team members and drive a culture of compliance across the organization.
You bring minimum 5 years of professional experience as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO within a bank, with expert knowledge of GwG, BaFin AuA, AML Regulation, EBA Guidelines, and KWG. Deep expertise in KYC, customer identification, and complex risk rating methodologies is essential. You have proven experience defending risk analyses before boards and supervisory authorities, combined with strong analytical and conceptual skills, high decision-making authority, and excellent communication in German and English.
