Raisin, a leading fintech platform for savings and investment products founded in 2012, is seeking an experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to join its Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) department. The company connects consumers with banks across the EU, UK, and US, currently managing over 80 billion euros in assets for more than one million investors.
In this senior compliance role, you will serve as the primary regulatory liaison with BaFin and the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), ensuring Raisin Bank meets all requirements under the Geldwäschegesetz (GwG) and Kreditwesengesetz (KWG). You will lead the organization's mission to prevent, detect, and combat money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud.
Key responsibilities include: designing and maintaining internal anti-financial crime policies aligned with the latest GwG and AuA updates; conducting and regularly updating the group's annual risk analysis; overseeing transaction monitoring systems and conducting manual investigations into high-risk accounts; providing expert advisory to the Board and business units on high-risk client onboarding (PEP, high-risk jurisdictions) and compliance implications of new products; developing and delivering mandatory AML/CTF training programs; and coordinating with internal and external auditors during annual § 25h KWG audits.
You will require a minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO within a bank, with expert knowledge of German Money Laundering Act (GwG), BaFin AuA, AML Regulation, EBA Guidelines, and German Banking Act (KWG). Deep expertise in KYC, customer identification, and complex risk rating methodologies is essential. You must have proven experience defending risk analyses before boards of management and supervisory authorities, combined with strong analytical and conceptual skills, high decision-making authority regarding technological innovations, and excellent communication in both German and English.
