You will serve as the FCA-approved Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO, SMF17 function), leading second-line-of-defence (2LOD) monitoring and oversight for financial crime compliance. Reporting to the Director of Compliance, you'll be an integral member of a small, collaborative team providing oversight across Stream entities. Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining a robust company-wide anti-financial crime strategy; overseeing, reviewing, and enhancing the financial crime framework, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice; conducting monitoring reviews and risk assessments of financial crime controls; developing and maintaining an effective training programme; completing external reporting obligations (regulatory submissions, NCA, OFAC); compiling and reviewing management information to identify trends; staying abreast of regulatory developments and communicating them to relevant business areas; reviewing new relationships, initiatives, and products for financial crime impact; and completing annual MLRO reports and financial crime risk assessments for each relevant entity. Required experience: 2–3 years as an MLRO in fintech, start-up, credit, or payment services; 5–7 years in financial crime roles; professional qualifications (ICA Diploma, CAMS, or equivalent). You must demonstrate an inquisitive, truth-seeking attitude; ability to work autonomously; strong communication and collaboration skills; meticulous attention to detail; excellent prioritisation in fast-paced environments; and proficient understanding of UK financial services regulation, Money Laundering Regulations, JMLSG guidance, and the FCA handbook. Within one month, you'll understand Stream's mission, products, and services. Within three months, you'll have built key internal networks, reviewed the existing financial crime framework, and devised an enhancement work plan. Within six months, you'll have established strong stakeholder relationships, deep framework knowledge, and a reputation as a trusted partner. The role is hybrid-based in London. Compensation: £100,000–£130,000 annually plus equity (for full-time employees) and comprehensive benefits including 25 days annual leave, flexible time off, 24 weeks paid maternity leave, 4 weeks paid paternity leave, private healthcare, pension salary sacrifice, EV salary sacrifice, and access to a benefits marketplace.
