Revolut is seeking a Money Laundering Reporting Officer to lead oversight and compliance within its rapidly growing fintech platform serving 75+ million customers. This role sits within the Compliance team, which combines regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to ensure products meet legal and policy requirements while managing financial crime risk in a fast-moving digital environment.
You will define, manage, and document the FinCrime and AML programme, working closely with leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory compliance risks. Key responsibilities include determining identification and verification standards for customer onboarding, managing the suspicious activity reporting process both internally and externally, and escalating suspicious activity through internal reports and external filings to regulators and law enforcement in a timely manner.
You'll communicate with staff across the organization to ensure they understand their responsibilities and are trained in Revolut's financial crime policies and procedures. You'll serve as a liaison to local authorities, manage filings to the local financial investigation unit, and receive and respond promptly to inquiries from law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, you'll support the business in launching new features by ensuring regulatory requirements are met, and collaborate with internal compliance teams to identify mitigation steps and provide recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in law, finance, or compliance; 5+ years of AML compliance experience in a regulated financial institution (EMI, PI, or bank), including prior MLRO or Deputy MLRO experience; and deep knowledge of EU AML/regulatory frameworks (AMLD, EMD2, PSD2), key financial crime regimes, emerging typologies, and compliance best practices. You must have experience managing regulatory relationships and examinations, understand payment systems and fintech business models, and possess strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Fluency in English is required; French and German are a plus. A master's degree and experience in a global, multi-entity FinCrime function are nice-to-have.
