As Monetization Strategy & Operations Lead at Coursera + Udemy, you will drive commercial strategy connecting pricing, promotions, lifecycle marketing, packaging, and customer retention into a unified monetization roadmap. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Pricing & Monetization, you'll partner across Consumer Growth, Product, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and Engineering to prioritize initiatives that maximize revenue, customer lifetime value, and long-term business growth.
Key responsibilities include evolving consumer monetization strategy across Marketplace, Subscription, and future integrated product offerings; leading commercial planning and operating cadence across pricing, promotions, lifecycle marketing, packaging, and retention; establishing business performance reviews, forecasting processes, and commercial diagnostics to inform executive decision-making; and partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize high-impact revenue opportunities.
You will evaluate tradeoffs across conversion, ARPU, customer lifetime value, retention, profitability, and long-term growth, while fostering a culture of data-driven decision making and operational excellence. The role requires strong commercial strategy skills connecting customer behavior, product strategy, pricing, and financial performance; executive influence to build trusted partnerships and align senior stakeholders; systems thinking to optimize long-term customer value; and leadership capability to guide teams through ambiguity with clear direction and accountability.
You'll have 8–10+ years of experience in strategy, monetization, consulting, pricing, growth, ecommerce, SaaS, or consumer technology. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred); demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional strategic initiatives with measurable business impact; proven influence with senior leaders; strong financial modeling and analytical skills; experience managing high-performing teams; and excellent executive communication abilities.
